What Work Are You Most Proud Of? A possum completed in Oil paint

Is It Hard to Part With Your Paintings? No, I don’t like to keep my paintings

Do you have a funny or interesting story about your art journey? I was on route to Spain from far North QLD and got stuck in Busselton during Covid. I went to the annual Art in the Park exhibition and absolutely loved it! I met the wonderful members and consequently joined The Busselton Art Society where, since the day I joined, I have been encouraged and supported.

How Do You Set Up A Painting Session? (e.g. When the mood strikes, set a regular time, music, wine) Normally, it’s a last minute panic due to a looming exhibition deadline!

What’s on your easel? Straw necked Ibis (editor’s comment: This painting is actually featured in this month’s exhibition, Quiet Time. Head in to the gallery to take a look!)

Favourite Artist? Monet

Which Famous Artwork Do You Wish You’d Painted/Created? Blue Poles by Jackson Pollock. It’s crazy and nothing that I would have thought of

What’s One Piece of Advice You Can Offer? Turn up and have a go. Attend workshops because they are fun and you get to learn so much from everyone.

As An Artist, What Are Your Goals for the Next 5 Years? Paint and have fun painting. Learn to loosen up and be relaxed

What’s the thing you love most about being part of the Busselton Art Society? All the wonderful members. Each having unique skills and always great advice to offer. Plus friendships
