1) Sarah Starr
2) How long have you been an artist? I started painting almost 3 years ago.
3) Which medium do you like best and why? I like Acrylic paint, I like how it feels and easier clean up.
4) Your Favourite Subject to Paint? Crop Circles, symbolic symbols, Egyptian history, anything Galactic, Raye and Wisdom.
5) How Has Your Background and History Affected Your Art? I started art therapy almost 3 years ago to help me express how I felt to deal with DV, Raye Speaks was the beginning and then at home I just started painting crop circles, doing dot painting and started to channel information re my paintings. It was a way for me to connect, it was something that became a place of peace, to escape into to lose myself and build myself back up. Bring some beauty into my world and to put my deep heart into. Through this I have seen my own growth.
6) What Was The First Artwork You Sold? An original painting from the Crop Circle Cave Series called Lineal Wisdom to a beautiful soul who has it in her healing room.
7) What Work Are You Most Proud Of? A large painting called Elevation of Humanity as it has 29 Crop Circles in it , it took my a very long time as the whole canvas is dotted.
8 ) Is It Hard to Part With Your Paintings? yes, I have gotten better at this as I know vibrationally they need to be seen and shared. They all hold a frequency and a channeling to assist humanity in healing and have helped me to heal also.
9) Are There Any You Wished You’d Kept? not at this point.
10) Do you have an interesting story about your art journey? I am amazed how alive they are, and am always so surprised when their channelings come through as they are so on point for what is needed to be shared. They kind of teach me things, for example, I now see all my paintings in 3D form and they have brought me into a colorful and expressive world. Like seeing art very differently, so when I look at others art I see so much more , it feels like being taught more ways to appreciate color in an expansive way. Being a student to the world of art and colour.
11) How Do You Set Up A Painting Session? e.g. When the mood strikes, set a regular time, music, wine etc. Painting is any time and to do as much as I can get away with. I use a draft table in the middle of my kitchen, dining and tv.
I often like to watch tv while painting, which believe it or not puts me in a different world. And I love listening to music as loud as possible, country and western music like Lady Antebellum and Keith Urban, or it’s 80’s all the way.
Painting while watching tv or listening to music, I find I disappear, don’t think (which is nice for someone on the Autism spectrum) and am removed from this world into a safe place.
12) What’s on your easel? I have 8 easels, 13 table easels and 2 draft tables and they are all full at the moment. I am working on a Wisdom painting at the moment as she helps me with my self esteem.
13) Favourite Artist? Hilma Af Klint is my favourite.
Then Gustav Klimt, Monet and Van Gough.
But so many more!!!
14) Which Famous Artwork Do You Wish You’d Painted/Created? The Hug…..Gustav Klimt
15) What’s One Piece of Advice You Can Offer? when looking at / sitting with an art piece, at some point after you’ve taken the art piece in with your eyes, take a moment to close your eyes, breathe, then feel the art piece.
16) As An Artist, What Are Your Goals for the Next 5 Years? to do better, learn more, deepen my connection to what I’ll be painting and share my art with humanity ( the world )
If I can be lucky enough to create a program where kids, teens and even adults on the Spectrum can share their art to feel a sense of pride and belonging .

17) How long have you been involved with the Busselton Art Society? since January 2024 I believe
18) What’s the thing you love most about being part of the Busselton Art Society? I love it, meeting likeminded people, sharing the love of art and expression. Feeling apart of something awesome
